When you make your booking on the Emirates website, you can get destination inspiration by using destination filters. This way, you can make sure you only see destinations that have what you want, whether that’s the beach, good golf, or cities filled with history and culture.

Once you’re an Emirates Skywards member, you’ll earn Skywards Miles every time you take a flight with Emirates, flydubai, or any of the Emirates partner airlines. Use the Miles calculator on the Emirates website to find out how many Miles you’ll earn for your journey.

You can also earn Emirates Skywards Miles by using an Emirates partner company, such as by staying in a Hilton hotel or by banking with American Express. The Emirates website has a full list of partners – click on the ‘Loyalty’ tab in the top menu and click ‘Our Partners’ to read the full list.

While you start your Emirates Skywards membership as part of the Blue tier, you can move up the ranks by earning Tier Miles on your flights with Emirates or flydubai.

Earn 25,000 Tier Miles to upgrade your Emirates Skywards membership to Silver tier, giving you 30% bonus Miles and complimentary Business Class lounge access in Dubai. You will upgrade to Gold once you earn 50,000 Tier Miles, giving you 75% bonus Skywards Miles – once you earn 150,000 Tier Miles you’ll be an Emirates Skywards Platinum member.

Emirates Skywards Platinum members get 100% bonus Skywards Miles (meaning you’ll earn twice as many Miles as you would as a Blue tier member) as well as all kinds of other benefits, such as First Class lounge access for you and your guests worldwide.

If you have an Emirates Economy Class ticket, you’ll get a multicourse inflight meal, complimentary drinks, a small amenity kit, and access to up to 6,500 channels of inflight entertainment including over 150 channels of children’s entertainment. While you won’t have unlimited free wifi access in Economy Class, you do get unlimited messaging.

Your luggage allowance with Emirates varies depending on your class of ticket, your destination, and your flight origin. For most destinations, you can check in as many pieces of luggage as you like up until your maximum weight limit – each individual piece must not weigh more than 32kg.

For example, if you are flying in Emirates Economy Class with a Saver ticket, you are allowed up to 25kg of baggage, or 30kg if your flight originates from Australia or New Zealand. If you are flying to and/or from the Americas or Africa with Emirates, you are only allowed a set number of check-in bags. This would be two pieces of luggage that weigh up to 23kg each if you were flying with an Economy Saver ticket.
